What sweet people. Hearts of gold, and peaceful inside and out. Involved in so many creative areas of life. Elizabeth and James were just meant for each other and they were both glowing on their wedding day. Elizabeth an interior architect and James a lawyer. She has a love for design and buildings and sculpture.. and James very musical as he sings in a local Kansas City Symphony Chorus. They love the arts and their wedding day was going to be nothing less than colorful. James had proposed to Elizabeth at the Kauffman Performing Arts Center right before the opening of Madame Butterfly. Elizabeth loves to tell his story as it “always makes me smile because one of the first things he asked me when we met was, so how much do you REALLY like the opera?” Meeting was just fate for these two. And here they are, a lovely spring wedding with beautiful and refreshing colors, surrounded by the people who love and support them the most. Everyone was so welcoming this whole day, very light in conversation and positive in their spirits. And their details at the Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art were SO fun. I’ve always wanted to shoot a wedding in this Kansas City venue. And not too far away in the Westport area, was their wedding ceremony, Immanuel Lutheran Church where once again, we were greeted by a lovely staff.
I’ve very much enjoyed getting to know both of these two as they have such interesting hobbies, jobs and a lot they are involved in. I wish the very best for you both and congratulations once again. Enjoy reliving your wedding day below and don’t forget to leave some great comments for the couple below the images.
