Oh heartbreakers! Last week’s sunset lifestyle session at the Bingham Waggoner Estate in Independence, Mo with Matt & Ali and their adorable little boys is exactly how I dream of all my portrait sessions going. This mom and dad are two of the neatest people. I learned so much watching them parent. Their patience and love is so endearing. They are seriously rad people all around! And could we have had any more perfect weather!? Hello to you, beautiful spring sunset.It’s moments like this that I can’t create. The in between moments. Mama carrying her baby boy exactly how she would every day, smooching on him without my direction. And I loved that he kept looking at me, kissing mama back, looking back at me. Everything about this image is just so “right” and it was nothing I could’ve done, other than photograph them in their own moment between “this spot” and the “next spot.” This is my favorite way to document your little ones. Because this is YOU every day, authentic, genuine, natural love between the two of them.I love love love boys. Their wild, fun, fast little running legs constantly moving. This session was so active and I could almost tear up thinking about this still image below. I was photographing his brother just to my right and I hear mama Ali whisper “I love you.” I turn around to see his whole world stop. He looked right back at her in the midst of his chattiness and my world stood still. I heard him whisper back “I love you.” And then Ali and him back and forth over and over just whispered “I love you, I love YOU. I love you, I love YOU.” I swear I heard nothing in this moment but the wind, the birds and their whispers and it was the most graceful thing for me to experience! >Goosebumps< These again, are the images I live for. The moments that matter the most because I didn’t force them to sit and smile in a way that wasn’t natural for them. These are the images you will forever cherish and hang in your home because this is how you see your little babies day in and day out!THEY WERE ALL SMILING! I didn’t photoshop not one smile, I swear it.Look at that sunset. This was the best weather I could ever hope for!Heartbreakers!I’m in love with these boys!
