I am an international wedding, portrait and lifestyle photographer based out of the Kansas City, Missouri & the Hermosa Beach & Los Angeles, California area. I  love getting to celebrate with couples, families, seniors, and children who absolutely love photography as much as I do. And I am super honored that people are choosing me to spend the day with them on one of the most important days of their lives, or even for the few hours we spend on your lifestyle session together. I work hard at my job. I am passionate about people, the big man up stairs and the importance of a strong marriage. I can hardly cook a thing, but I do all that I can share in an experience of a life time with you and leave you with some incredible and timeless moments for you to remember for the rest of your lives. I am a graphic design and studio art major at one of the most unique schools in the country, Graceland University.  I also am a girl of many sporting events. I played college volleyball at Longview College and Graceland University, coached college volleyball at Longview College and have been a basketball official for 12 years, making this the third year I have worked division II basketball and other levels of college and high school ball here in the midwest. Growing up, I played soccer, basketball, volleyball, baseball, softball, I ran track and I did karate until a full length cast on my leg kept me away for a summer. My heart has a large space for music, as I have been playing the piano since I was three. I picked up the saxophone in Jr High and High School band and have always attempted and pretended as if I knew what I was doing on the guitar. I love to sing louder than most and have always dreamed of the day I could just sit down in front of thousands and sing them something I wrote. I rarely get hurt and very little can anything make me cry, but I seem to get most choked up when I see others ridiculously happy. That’s right.. I tear up on the Price is Right every time someone wins, when I see a family reconnect on a level beyond themselves, when I see a little kid win a little league baseball game like it was the best thing that ever happened. I’m a sucker for happy moments. Yes, yes I am.

I am a girl who loves…

Traveling, butter popcorn, summer nights, horses, flying, laughing so bad it hurts, skydiving, eating my boyfriends delicious food, riding my motorcycle with my dad, cuddling, movies, chocolate covered strawberries, honest people, HUGE hugs, camp fires, fun kids, traveling, learning new things, playing the piano, chandelier, my kitties, basketball, warm fuzzy moccasins, my insanely fun and interesting family, my puppy, volleyball, adventures, spontaneity, food, log rolling down a hill, boat rides under blankets, star gazing, four wheeling, Apple products, kisses, thunder storms, flowers, riding bikes, swimming, eating other people’s food, a good conversation, random phone calls or house visits, dancing, a warm fire, weddings, Family Guy, dying my hair, candles….. I love all water sports. I love to draw, sing in the shower, I am easy going, down to earth, courageous, honest, an outdoorsy-girl, peaceful, happy, eco-conscious, I love my family,  I am daring, spontaneous, romantic, and authentic. And most importantly, I love being uniquely me.

 

I love to capture couples…

Who are completely, utterly, in love with one another, who love creative details, when the groom cries because he’s so happy, who laugh about everything, who are passionate about the art of photography, who are laid back and so fun, who are affectionate and love to hug, when I catch them looking at each other from across the room with the most genuine smile I’ve ever seen, who have an incredible faith, who’s families are just as much fun, who have an incredible story together, who travel a lot, who poke fun at each other, who love to dance ridiculously,  who are always up for an adventure, who communicate amazing together, who surprise each other with gifts and songs on their wedding day, who love animals, who can work their sexy side with confidence {smiles}, who are eco-friendly, and I love getting to know new and interesting things about what makes YOUR story.

 

I love to capture families and children…

Who spent tons of time together… watch tv less, have fun adventures more. Who are spontaneous and take risks, who take fun vacations and make lasting memories, families who adore communicating and laughing together, who have tickle wars, movie nights, bbq’s, love animals or rescuing animals in need, who’s kids are fun and friendly and the parent (s) are radically involved in their kids lives, who love foods fights, sprinkles on their cupcakes, who bake together, have sleepovers and stay up late, who jump on the bed together, who love, who dream and most importantly, families that stay together no matter who you are… gay, straight, single, married, a cheaper by the dozen family, or a family or two. I love when you are boldyly, colorfully you!

 

I love to capture seniors…

Who are leaders, adventure seekers, who are involved and love their community and their friendships/relationships around them, who are daring, travel a lot, have lots of hobbies, completely enjoy being in the outdoors, who love game nights, being a dork just because you can, who love Apple products (ok, ok, I know everyone doesn’t) who love their childhood cartoons as much as I do, who are respectful of others, who love to dance, sing, ride horses, knit, or scream at the top of their lungs from the top of a mountain-whichever they prefer. I love seniors who represent the Kansas City high school & surrounding areas in a positive way, who are bold, who are beautifully unique and accept change, who challenge opportunities and take on things they normally wouldn’t do… I love to shoot seniors who have a good time and laugh at al my dumb jokes as I’m shooting, who bring something different to the world and most importantly, who are willing to have the best time of their lif

e on their photo shoot because they value the art of photography and cherish how fantastic being young, free and fun is in this very important time of their lives.

 

I love to capture events…

In the surrounding Kansas City area, in the Los Angeles and San Diego area, in the Denver Colorado area, and tons more places around the world. I love events that are crafty, creative, who have involved families and friends, who are surrounded and swarmed with fun loving people who are very excited about their event they are celebrating and enjoy the company of others. I love events that are themed, colorful, romantic, exciting and are uniquely represented to your brand, your life, or your business. I love working with people and animals of all sorts, especially if your hearts are too big for your chests and you then have to wear it all over your sleeves and have tons of room to give all your love away to those around you.
