FAQ

Do you have a legal business? Absolutely! I am a full time professional photographer. I am a destination (international) photographer based out of Kansas City, Mo.

Do you have insurance? Absolutely again! When running a business, I believe insurance is one of the most important things I could invest in. I am covered by State Farm Insurance and am a proud member of the Professional Photographers of America who also provide insurance for all members.

Do you offer any other services? We now have a PHOTO BOOTH. This is incredibly fun, modern and non bulky. We provide a 10′x10′ space for you and as many people as possible to fit in. There is no limit to how many photos you want to take.. Visit the Banana Who? Booth website here.

What is a BELOVED session? What you would consider a couple session, or possibly an engagement session, is what I love to call Beloved sessions. A Beloved sessions is about providing you a space where you can be completely who you are, and allow yourselves to have an incredibly fun and authentic experience together. It is not about “just another photo shoot.” It’s about stepping above that and providing you with an experience you’ve never had before. The results are fabulous. I get you laughing, tickling, hugging to the max and soaking up all that love you have for each other. As an individual portrait session, it’s about discovery and embracing what you bring to the world-who you are. I will have you do some fun invites to get comfortable and smiling and then we can go even more in depth to get you lovin’ on each other more than you ever thought you could, or smiling ear to ear. These sessions are about bringing life and meaning into your shoot, and a space for you to experience something moving.. so when you look back at your images, you can truly “FEEL” what you felt in that moment…..       and it will be breathtaking.

What is required to book a session with you?

What if I need to reschedule our session? I completely understand that life happens and or/the weather can be so unpredictable.  I have no problem with appointments being rescheduled. Please provide notice as soon as possible prior to your event, so we are able to reschedule a date that’s convenient for you. Do take note that for cancellations, all deposits are nonrefundable.

Do you do destination weddings or sessions? Do you even have to ask? When’s the next flight out? For weddings outside of the KC area (farther than 60 miles) there will be travel expenses. How many pictures will we get to view? For weddings, normally you will get to view between 500-800 photos. Lifestyle and Beloved sessions between 60-80.

How long does it take after the wedding before we get to view our pictures & purchase them? 4-6 weeks after your wedding, your photos will be posted online to view and then you will have four weeks from your view date to purchase your products at standard price.

What should I/we wear? See some great ideas for great hair and what to wear on my Pinterest board here.

For a more modern look, wear anything with patterns or accessories, layers of clothings or creative attire. If you want to “match” with your other, or your family, consider everyone wearing a brown “somewhere.” Ex: A brown scarf on one, a brown pant on another, brown striped dress or shirt on the kids. I really love getting my families and couples to get creative and wear what they feel comfortable in and what represents them best…. so wear your favorite clothing that will look good together. If you are bringing along children, maybe let them pick out what they want to wear, or layer up with mis-match. I want you to look back at your images and say “that is exactly how I see my loved ones”… rather than thinking “that doesn’t look like us at all”

How many weddings will you book a year? We will only take a maximum of 25 weddings per year. We want to make sure that each client gets the quality & attention they deserve. We also have a maximum of 6 portrait sessions a month.

What kind of equipment do you use? See my favorite equipment here.
